City of Tampere is running a Creative Tampere program which is divided into 3 different areas: cultural industry, service innovations and creative structures. This program is oriented to the enhancement of creative industries, development of new technology based services and improvement of the conditions for creativity.
City of Tampere has experience how to enhance entrepreneurship in the cultural sector, to strengthen know-how and to promote the commercial utilization of cultural content, to increase co-operation between the cultural sector and other business.  Moreover, Creative Tampere programme acts as an accelerator and as a creator of networks.
Advisory committee, control group and working groups of the programme are in charge of approving the strategy, creating annual action plans, deciding on the guidelines for initiatives in creative industries sector.
