The presentation of Juan Botas collection, offers a new opportunity to deepen the two visions of the artist, with a selection of his major contributions as the sets he designed for the sets of chain MTV music videos, exercise master of architecture ephemeral key postmodern books and folded sheets, accordions that are reeling a story full of color and intensity.
Juan Botas (1958-1992), born in Gijón, trained at the School of Visual Arts in New York, where he is a disciple of Milton Glaser, unavoidable reference what is American design in the sixties and eighties. In his study, where he worked between 1983 and 1986, he developed his own graphic language that favors direct communication and without clichés. In 1986 he established on his own. At that time there were new themes and interests that were reflected in his notebooks, diaries, where the image replaces the word and constitute his most unpublished work. At the same time his graphic work was published in many newspapers and magazines: Newsweek, New York Times, World Report, Vogue, Seventeen ....
