Klaipeda Economic Development Agency attended the Creativity World Forum, which took place in Germany, from 30th November to 3rd December, 2009. The Creativity World Forum 2009 offered decision-makers from all over the world an ideal platform to further advance the connection between the creative industry and branches in other industries. The event attracted more than 1,200 guests from home and abroad. Over a hundred representatives from commerce, science, politics, architecture, the music industry and the design world discussed future developments and described how they generate ideas and initiate innovations.
 
The Creativity World Forum is the main annual event of the international Network Districts of Creativity, which was founded in 2004 as a global network of the creative and innovative regions of Flanders (Belgium), Baden-Württemberg, Rhône-Alpes and Nord Pas de Calais (France), Lombardy (Italy), Catalonia (Spain), Scotland (Great Britain), Tampere (Finland), Oklahoma (USA), Quebec (Canada), Karnataka (India), Shanghai and Qingdao (China).
