Klaipeda Culture Communication invites to attend the grand opening at the Klaipeda exhibition hall. Kulturpolis presents art project “Art permanence rule”. The conception of the project propose to reflect how communication changes attitude, how experiments and art-discoveries will open windows to the space where curves of intrigue are already being traced, where a coefficient of creative acceleration applies, where proportions of possibilities and other unconventional magnitudes of reality are increasing. There will be presented modern textile and painting, kinetic installations, objects and video projections. Kulturpolis invite artists who have been taking part in different types of centers project (participated as artists in residence, took part in art actions, lead workshops and master classes, made or curated art exhibitions) for five last years mainly. Artists: Jūratė Kazakevičiūtė. Ligita Marcinkevičiūtė, Agnė Jonkutė, Žygimantas Augustinas, Tadas Vosylius, Maris Grosbahs (Latvia), Andrus Joonas (Estonia). There are presented most interesting and important events in video clips and series of photoimages also.
Everyone can be sure for themselves, that since the very beginning, its name has been making a solid impression: Klaipėda Culture Communication Centre. Or just Kulturpolis. It's a treat to observe how such a serious institution as KCCC becomes just Kulturpolis in public cultural discourse.

Klaipeda Culture Communication Center is Celebrating 5th anniversary

2009.10.14
Kulturpolis has a certain kind of idealism – the belief that art can be exciting and necessary for everyone. Or at least for every second one. Therefore Kulturpolis tickles, attracts, and provokes incredulous people, unbelieving that the soul, like the body, needs food too. Kulturpolis massages the feet of their aesthetic perception, pinches conservative cheeks, gently strokes their curls and bald heads of curiosity.
