LABtv begins broadcasting the first phase of its programming including activities of the LABmóvil project and Meipi Asturies: digital citizenry and tactical cartography.

The audiovisual internet project was carried out in collaboration with Radiotelevisión del Principado de Asturias (RTPA) as part of an agreement between LABoral and the Public Communication Body of the Government of the Principality of Asturias. The technical implementation was carried out after consultation with two Asturian businesses: iON Information Technologies and Simbiosys.

The contents of LABtv can be accessed LABoral's web page http://www.laboralcentrodearte.org and directly through the URL http://laboralcentrodearte.tv. It will also be accessible through the RTPA web page http://www.rtpa.es.

LABtv values new artistic practices and one of its aims is to publicise and promote them through research and creative projects. The goal is to consolidate a meeting point, a place to carry out and reflect on contemporary artistic culture, promoting up and coming artists from Asturias, Spain and around the world who work in the field of the Visual Arts and Industrial Creation.
