The city of Braga has been chosen as European Youth Capital 2012. The official ceremony is scheduled for April 24.
The conference took place on 23-24 February 2010 in Vilnius - Lithuania and its' main goal was in an innovative and attractive way to present various national and international initiatives illustrating how the creative industries are being developed in the Baltic Sea Region, also to map the need of cooperation in this field and to discuss how this cooperation could be continued in the future.
The Austrian artist Martin Krenn explores and probes socio-political subjects, focusing on strategies and methods of resistance to the governing relations of power. In this, he makes use of different media, mainly photography, video and the internet. His projects are realised in the form of exhibitions, internet projects and interventions in the public space.
This study tour introduced four of the eight partners in the CITIES network to the Shoreditch and Hoxton areas of London, and many of the creative and cultural businesses that operate in this part of the UK's capital city.
On 4th and 5th March, delegations from Klaipeda (Lithuania), Modena and Venice (Italy) and Seville and Gijón (Spain) visited creative spaces, institutions and projects in the city of Lisbon, Portugal.

A publication has been developed by the efforts of the participants and organizers of the international conference of the CITIES project, where the authors – designers, artists, cultural politicians, and philosophers - were asked to freely reflect on the humanization of the environment as well as the policy on public urban spaces.
Delegations from Klaipeda, Lithuania and Lisbon, Portugal visited the City of Tampere in January, 2010. Klaipeda Economic Development Agency presents the review with the impressions from the study trip.
